Baby Levi

I just got a new baby cousin. His name is Levi. I will tell you about him. He is so cute.

Levi has dark blue eyes. He has brown hair. He is very big. He looks like my Uncle Ryan. He also looks like my Aunt Janee' too. Levi looks like my cousin Noelle a little bit.

I got too hold my cousin Levi too. He has soft hair. He was sleeping and he breathed loudly. Then he started snorting. It was funny, but he cried.

Noelle seems happy too be a big sister. She loves him a lot. She is two years old. She kisses him a lot and loves to pet his hair. When he was still in the hospital she helped give him a bath. she did a good job.

I love to see him. I can't wait too see him again. I can't wait to have a girl cousin that my auntie is going to have very soon.

lake tahoe

I went to Lake Tahoe for three days. We stayed in a cabin in Camp Richardson. We did lots of fun things.

When we got to are cabin I was so exited. I ran inside. I gave the bib that I made for my Auntie's new baby to my Auntie. then I got my snow clothes on and rushed out side to play. I sledded down the sled run that my uncle made and made a mountain of snow on the side of it. I also had a snowball fight with my brother. Then I ate, watched a movie and went to bed.

The next day I woke up and went downstairs. Only me and my brother Corey were awake so we had to be quiet. We played a game and soon people woke up. We ate french toast and I made a birthday card for my cousins. Later my cousins came over. We had a snowball fight and sledded. after that we brought our sleds and made a sled run I had fun sledding down with my cousins. Later we went back to the cabin. After that we went to the Tahoe Pizza Company. my cousins and grandma had a candle on their pizza. my cousins birthdays are on the same day because they are twins. I colored a picture for my grandmas b-day card. Then we ate and went back to the cabin. They opened presents and ate cake. They went home and we went to bed.

The next day I ate some cereal and played in the snow. I drove to a place and made a good sled run. I was to scared to go on the big one. I even built a snow toilet with my uncle.The next day I had to leave so I took some pictures and played some more. everybody was upset.

I miss Lake Tahoe. I hope I get to go again. Have you ever been to lake Tahoe?

New Years at Disneyland

I like Disneyland. Do you? It has fun rides and cool parades. At Christmas time it is even more cool!

The hotel had lots of nice things. I liked going in the hot tub because it was relaxing and warm. The pool was also heated. It was also warm outside so I swam in the pool a little too. There were nice, comfy beds in the room, but I slept on the hard, cold, dirty carpet. The T.V was noisy and sometimes annoying.

I loved all the rides in Disneyland. My favorite ride is Splash Mountain because I like the song Zipedy Do Da I also like the big hill where you get splashed. I really love California Screamin because it is fast and goes upside down. I like the smoky red train because it goes all the way around the park. I also like the snow white ride with the seven dorfs. I like the Matter Horn also.

I liked most of the food. I loved the smell of the of the buttery popcorn. I could see and taste the melting, sticky ice cream. The cotton candy was messy and sticky and soft. I could smell the yucky hot dogs.

We loved the decorations and parades. I saw the princesses’ pretty dresses. I even saw the gold medal around an Olympic champion’s neck. There were bright lights on small world. There were reeves and ornaments everywhere. I even saw a pretty Christmas tree. In the parade I saw bright Christmas lights. I saw Santa with his white, long, fluffy beard. I saw Mickey and Minnie in there Christmas clothes ice-skating.

I miss Disneyland. I look forward to going again. Have you been to Disneyland?

CHRISTMAS

I had a nice Christmas. I had lots of celebrations. I had such a nice time.

I had two parties at my house the first party was with friends from church. It was fun. First we decorated gingerbread houses. Next we collected supplies for shelter for mothers and children that don’t have homes. One lady shut the door as soon as we started talking. One person turned there light on and turned it of when they saw us coming. After that we had apple cider. And then we had a gift exchange. I got a puzzle and traded for some kitty socks. After that we watched a movie and most of the people went home.

My next party I had was with the rock group. We did lots of the same stuff. We drank hot chocolate and did a gift exchange and I got bath soap, lotion and body wash. We didn’t watch a movie though, but we decorated cookies.

Next I went to my grandma and grandpa Barton’s’ house. We ate breakfast and opened stockings and presents. I got lots of clothes, two gift cards to Justice, a webkin, a tic tac toe game, chap stick and other things.

I had Christmas at my Grammy and papas house to his family. I got a blanket from my aunt Sheryl. We played white elephant and I got sees candies and soap. I played with my cousin Justice and ate desert and went home. We had another Christmas there. I got street hockey, photo paper, a kite, a keyboard, and earrings. I played with my cousins ate there and went home.

I opened my presents from my family in the morning. I got earrings from my brothers. I got a webkin, clothes, and other things. We went to my cousin Tammy’s house. First we ate dinner. And I played with my cousins. My cousin Isabelle was sick and she couldn’t come. That was to bad, but I had fun with my other cousins. Then we opened presents I got a glittery shirt with c shaped earnings and a c shaped necklace. I also got a sweat suit. Then we ate yummy desert. While the adults were doing a gift exchange some of the girls watched a movie. After that we took a long drive home.

On Christmas morning I opened my stocking and I got a bear, a beanie, candy, and other stuff. After that my grandma and grandpa an my great grandma came over the still had to give me a few more things. I got a twenty dollar bill and a scrap booking kit. Then we went to celebrate Christmas. We played and opened presents. I got a McDonalds gift card and two twenty dollar bills. The men played a game and then we went home.

I love Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!! I am looking forward to next year. Do you like Christmas?

Happy Thanksgiving

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I had a great Thanksgiving. Lots of my family came. The food was really great. My cousins played restaurant with me.

Lots of my family that I barely see came. I don’t see them much because they live far away. Most of them live near or in Pinole. I enjoy seeing them. I was happy to see my aunt Darlene that I e-mail a lot.

The food was really good. I just don’t like stuffing. Since mashed potatoes are my favorite food I took a lot. I only like white turkey. Dark turkey taste weird. For dessert I ate pumpkin pie, pumpkin ice cream, chocolate pie, and apple pie. It was all great!

I played restaurant with my cousins. Our restaurant name was the Campell Kids. We got lots of people to come. My uncle even gave us a tip. It was a quarter. We had lots of pretend food. So our restaurant was a mess.

I had a good time with my family. I was having fun. It was one of the best Thanksgiving ever!

Sutter Fort

I took a field trip to Sutter Fort. I had to come on a bus. The bus was tiring.

To get prepared for the field trip I had to take a history class. In that class there were Sutter bucks that you needed to earn for the trade store. Sutter bucks are green or yellow slips of paper that you earn when you do your home work read a book or take a test. The yellow ones are 1 dollar and the green are five dollars. I even had to dress up in pioneer clothes. I wore a shirt, an apron, an undershirt, an under skirt, a skirt, and I had a bag. My character was Virginia reed. She lived in Springfield Illinois. She came to California when she was 13 years old.

Before we went we had to learn lots about the fort. One thing about the fort was it was established in 1839. we also went on a scavenger hunt on the computer. We had to answer the questions.
We took a wagon ride to get from old Sacramento to Sutter fort. The horses were very big. They also had ginormas hooves. We even went on the main street where cars were. We waved to people that were on the sidewalk. Most of them waved back, but some people didn’t wave back and they were sour. We even saw the state capital. It was so big. One person thought it was the white house.

I made candles. It was a little boring because all you did was walk around in a circle taking a different candle from the rack each time you dipped it in hot wax and water. Most of the girls liked candle making the best. I didn’t .I liked the trade store the best. There are things such as dolls, banana chips, dominos, or beef jerky. The trade store was one of my favorite things.

I went to the trapper. It was fun because I had an envelope that said rattle snake eggs, but it didn’t have rattlesnake eggs in it. It was two rubber bands attached to something with a metal thing tied in the middle of the rubber bands. You would wind it up, put it in the envelope, give it to the person, and say open my rattle snake eggs and take a peek. They would open it and it would rattle against the paper like a rattlesnake.

I wove on a big loom. I wove the colors blue, yellow, white, violet, pink. The yellow yarn was very cheery. The blue yarn was really thick. We were supposed to do spinning wool, but we didn’t have time. I already no how to spin wool. It is harder then it looks. It looks like all you do is spin a tick with a hook that has wool attached to it. Most of the time it is hard because your wool gets tangled.

I also saw a black smith. The blacksmith made a nail out of metal. What he did was get it really hot in the fire. Then he hit it with a hammer and it made the sharp part. After that when it was still hot he got something with a lot of little holes in it and put the top of the nail in it and the nail was done. Then he made something out of an old half of a horse shoe. He heated it up in the fire so it got really hot and he took a hammer and hit it really hard and made it into a horse pick. A horse pick is something when you put a new horse shoe on the horse you could pick all the bad stuff that got into the horses hooves. After he made it he put a decoration in it. He put a horse head on the front. Blacksmiths are a good help.

I made a rope at the field trip. We had to spin it on this thing it took three people one to hold the paddle, one to spin the thing, and one to hold the thing that the thing was holding the rope. That was the hardest job so that person got to keep the rope. I was the first one to get to keep the rope. We also learned about the wagon when we were at the rope making. We learned that it is not made to carry people. They were made to carry your stuff. You would have to bring only things that you needed. There wouldn’t be room for other stuff.

At the pioneer doctor demonstration I got to volunteer. she pretended I had a stretch throat. She pretended to cut shallow lines in my throat. She also put pretend leaches on my throat to suck the blood that got out. Some other people got to volunteer too. One she said bumped her head and the other she said had gangrene. After we saw the doctor demonstration we had dinner. For dinner we had mashed potatoes, steak, vegetables, biscuits, and pumpkin soup. We had pumpkin custard for desert. I usually am not into custard, but this was like pudding with home made whipped cream. When it was time for the evening entertainment everybody danced. I didn’t like the dancing because the person who led it was embarrassing. After the dancing we all got to play instruments.

I did night watch to look and make sure intruders didn’t break into the fort. We got big fake guns just in case. It was all pretend, but it was all very fun. We caught the intruder stealing the ginger snap cookies we made. We new he stole them because he had them in his pocket. He said it was dirt, but we new it was cookies because they smelt like the cookies we made. One girl even licked it. After we caught him we put him in the dust jail. Then we went to the kitchen and had hot chocolate and cookies. After that slept at Sutter’s fort because it was an overnight field trip. I did not sleep well because the ground was hard and I didn’t have a pillow. I slept in a room with only girls in the building were the doctors office was. It was kind of creepy.

I had so much fun at Sutter’s Fort. I want to go again someday. I hope you could go to.

Our nice family vacation

One day my family decided to go on a trip to Florida. The day of the trip we got up at three AM. We drove to the Oakland airport. We were going to Chicago before we went to Florida. Our airplane was on time. After we stayed at a beach we were going on a cruise to some islands. After that we would go to the Space Center.

We took an airplane to Florida and drove a rental car to Sanibel Island. The first thing we did was put the luggage we needed in our hotel room. Next, we went down to the beach. The sand was so nice. It was like chalk that you would put on a baseball field. There were so many shells that you couldn’t even dig to the bottom of them. The only annoying thing was these bugs called no see em’s. They were so small that you couldn’t even see them [that explains their name], and then we stuck are feet in the water. It was so warm.

After we went to the beach, we went to the store and bought some food. The store had pretty parrots. We got taquitos and ice cream bars. Then we went to our room and got into our swim suits and went into the spa and the pool while my dad cooked the food. When we were done swimming we went to our room and ate our food. Then we got in our pajamas and went to bed.

The next morning we went to breakfast. There was fruit, eggs, waffles toast, sweet rolls, cereal, and lots of other good breakfast. I made a waffle three times because the first one was burnt because my dad burnt it, the second one I made soggy, and the third one my mom made just right. Then went down to the beach We collected lots of shells. My brother caught a crab and put it down my dress. Then We went back to our room changed into our swim suits and swam in the ocean. Then we saw tiny fish and the amazing thing was dolphins swimming about 20 feet from us. Then we rented some bikes and rode to a light house with a nice beach. My mom and I saw a turtle digging a nest. The pesky ants kept biting me and it hurt.

The next thing I did was drive to Fort Lauderdale. On the way we stopped and swam at a beach in Naples. It was really nice. I saw a pelican and some flying fish. I was surprised that the pelican didn’t try to eat them. Then my mom went out deep on our surf board mattress and I got freaked out. She took me where I could stand and took my brother Corey out deep and watched the flying fish with him. All of the sudden it started pouring rain. We tried to dry of a little, but we couldn’t that well so when it stopped raining we walked around a little. After we walked around we got in the car and tried to drive to the next hotel. It was so rainy you could barely see. Someone even hit an alligator. Then I had to go the bathroom so we got to a bathroom and when you ran in you still got soaked. After I stood under the hair dryer for a minute ran and got in the car. Then we got into a cab and went to the hotel. I changed right away. We were really hungry so we ran next door to taco bell. It wasn’t raining that much. I ate two soft tacos and some nachos. Again it started raining hard. A lady came in and her butt was soaked. It looked liked she peed her pants. We went back to our room got in our pajamas I dried my hair and went to bed. For the next day I would get on the ship.

The next day when I woke up I was exited. I got dressed and went and ate breakfast. I had a couple donuts, fruit loops and biscuits with gravy. When I was going up stairs, I saw chicken bones. I new they were chicken bones because they were skinny. I went and changed out of my swim suit and went to my grandmas room and said hi then I went back to my room and watched TV. I was watching a show called “Myth Busters.” Then my brothers came in the room and watched it too. When my dad came in the hotel room he got ready to go on the ship. My mom came and asked me to knock on my grandma’s door and tell her we were going to go to get on the shuttle to go to the ship because we were ready to go to the ship. When we waited in line to get on the bus the people and all their luggage filled up the bus. So we went on the next bus. We had to wait in a long line to get on the ship.

When we finally got on the ship we did activities. The ship was huge! It had so many things to do. There was something called a kids club. Connor was in a different kids club then Corey and I because we are older then him. Me and Corey made a shark tooth necklace and a car and dissected a squid and played video games. We also played mini golf and basketball. I liked playing mini golf the best!

I liked our room. It had a TV! Corey and I even got to sleep on a bunk bed! We had a balcony too, but the annoying thin was you could see other peoples balcony’s. My grandma was next door to me. That was nice. I liked swimming. It was very wavy it was fun. I went in the spa too. It was hot.

The dinner was so good. I liked the desserts the best. My grandpa ordered something called the princess love boat every night. It was chocolate with raspberry sauce and whipped cream to put on it. I had banana ice cream and it tasted so much like a frozen banana. For my dinner I loved the lobster and the king crab was good too. I ate the lobster before the waiter even brought the butter. For the appetizer I liked the soup. It was cold and they sometimes they brought it in a cup. There was pumpkin soup and it tasted gross.

One of the islands I went to was Princess Cays in the Bahamas. We had to take a lifeboat to the island. (We weren’t drowning.) It had warm sand and we only stayed at that one beach that our ship owned. The island had food too, but it wasn’t ready until 11:30 A.M. when it was ready I had to wait in a long line. Since my papa was waiting around there he got in line first. There was this worker that asked me if I wanted some cheese and I told him I didn’t and he just put it on my plate anyway. The cheese looked weird to it was colored cheese. There were lots of good deserts. It had really good snorkeling. There were these really big and ugly scaly fish. They were so freaky. There were parrot fish which were blue and yellow and big. Also there were little fish that were yellow with a black stripe.

I also went to St. Martin. I went to a beach that had dirty water. I did not know what its name was. I fed a big group of fish bread. They all swarmed around you. Some fish touched my leg. We didn’t stay at that beach long. The next beach I went to in St. Martin was Orient Beach. It had beautiful warm water it had a water trampoline and a banana boat, but you had to pay. I wanted to stay longer, but we had to go to a beach that had a airport next and we didn’t see any airplanes. That beach had ladies with no shirts on. It was too wavy so I didn’t snorkel.

The next island we cruised to was St. Thomas. We went to two beaches. We had to rent a jeep that had only four seats and I had to share. I was squished. I went to a really beautiful beach called Coki Beach. There were rocks to play on. It was a really good snorkeling. There was a jellyfish so I was scared. I also went to Magens Bay. We saw a barracuda. I kept diving into the warm water. We couldn’t feed the fish because the barracuda.

Next we went to Grand Turk. It was all messed up because of the hurricane. It even had shingles in the water. It wasn’t really good snorkeling because the reef was messed up I even saw a puffer fish. We also saw a big blue fish. There was also a big pool. There was also a dock that I walked on.

The last two days of vacation we went to the Space Center. The first thing we did was take a bus to the launch pad. The astronauts were going to go up into space to fix the Hubble Telescope, but the main computer wasn’t working right so they couldn’t locate it and they had to wait until February to go up into space. We saw two shuttles on the pad. When we were on the bus we saw 12 alligators and even a manatee went on a bus and went and saw the parts that they are making for the space station. That was so cool it was real. We even went were retired rockets [not shuttles] were. There was some water that was sprouting up and my brothers played in it and got soaked. They were uncomfortable. After that we saw an astronaut. He rode with the first American woman Sally Ride. His name was John McBride. We took a picture with him. He used to have red hair and he said to Corey I used to have hair like that. We saw two IMAX films. They were in 3d. The first one I liked the best. Soon they will retire the shuttles. The only reason that shuttles were made were to carry space station parts to space. Soon they want to go to the moon. They want to try to go to Mars in about 20 years.

I really enjoyed my trip. I wish it never ended. I had such a nice vacation. It was really fun and great.
